Scott Pinter, M.D. came to Eye Surgical
Associates in 1998 after completing residency training at
the prestigious W.K. Kellogg Eye Center at the University
of Michigan Medical Center. He graduated with high honors,
receiving his B.S. at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana
in 1990, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
His Doctor of Medicine degree was bestowed in 1994 from the
Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri.

While in medical school, Dr. Pinter was
selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr.
Pinter is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology,
American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society
and the McLean County Medical Society.
While a resident Dr. Pinter was the first
University of Michigan surgeon to perform no shot, no patch
cataract surgery. Dr. Pinter co-authored a study that was
published in the April 1999 issue of the Journal of Cataract
Refractive Surgery entitled "Phacoemulsification in the
eyes with past pars plana vitrectomy: Case-control study."
Dr. Pinter sees both pediatric and adult patients in his comprehensive
ophthalmology practice.
