Dr. Edward Colloton is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and joined Eye Surgical Associates in 1988. He has a Bachelor of Science degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Iowa in 1979 and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1983. He completed his residency in 1987 at the University of Iowa. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Colloton has presented a paper and led scientific discussions at numerous National and International Eye meetings. In addition he has taught courses on phacoemulsification and no stitch cataract surgery to surgeons across the United States.

Professional memberships include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, McLean County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Colloton now serves as Administrative President of Eye Surgical Associates and is a consultant for the doctors of Eye Surgical Associates.
