Dr. Daniel Brownstone came to Eye Surgical Associates after serving in the United States Air Force, where he served as Chief of the Ophthalmology Department at Scott Air Force Base Medical Center. He earned his BA in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1981. His Doctor of Medicine degree was from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in 1988.

In 1992 he completed his ophthalmology residency at Boston University School of Medicine.

Professional memberships include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha, the Illinois Society of Ophthalmology, and the McLean County Medical Society.

Dr. Brownstone is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and maintains an active general ophthalmology practice for children and adult patients with Eye Surgical Associates.
